Why do 13 Amp socket outlets burn out so easily compared to 15A mp sockets even if there is no excessive load?
In a doestic istallation where house hold items like electric kettle, iron toaster, fridge. TV, HiFi, Computer e.t.c. !3 Amp sockets burn out on the contact holes where the plug connects.
Not sure what country you’re in, but here in the USA we don’t have 13 amp outlets, (if that’s what !3 is supposed to be), the minimum I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen and installed hundreds of recepts, is 15 amp, the better grade ones are 20 amp. Possibly the appliances you’re using in the sockets, (if they are indeed only rated for 13 amps, are pulling 12 sometimes 13 amps. Most recepts are rated for a slightly higher amperage than their label here.
